Critique #5

First of all I'd like to say for your first time, this looks really good!(betterthanmine>.>)

Though, I few pointers I would recommend that could make it look even more awesome!

First thing I would recommend is making the colors closer to the last, especially the dark circle that shows it's round could be a little bit lighter for this color of emote. It looks good that way on grey for a moon, but not on a purple emote for some reason.

For the sparkles, again it looks really good if this were a moon, planet, etc. but it just doesn't really fit for a normal big emote. Instead of sparkles I would suggest random pixels not too far from the "Checker Patten" you did, or just a series of 4 pixels in a square spaced an imaginary pixel apart on both ends of the colors.

Now I'm just getting a little nit picky, the little easy to fix stuff that will make it a whole lot better.

The eyes. I like the size of them, it gives an expression of where you put the hands.C8 I would suggest though the color be a lot darker then the rest of the emote. Almost but not quite black.
Unless the hand is flat, and imprinted on the rest of the emotes body, I wouldn't put the light colored line under the hand, instead use black at the same opacity to represent a shadow.

In a whole, keep working at it, remember, dithering is just like emoticon shading, after you start to get comfortable you can develop your own style that you can use every time you dither!

Good luck!
